Cooking with Cops

November 2019

This Foundation-supported event brought kids from local middle schools to join officers from the Annapolis Police Department for a cooking class at Whole Foods!  Kids enjoyed making their very own healthy entree and dessert, while learning how to make it again for their families when they got home. The kids got aprons, reusable shopping bags, and knife skills and kitchen safety packets.  We talked about the importance of healthy eating, buying local and the maximum daily recommended amount of sugar.

Annapolis Police Foundation Teamed with Target for Back-to-School "Shop With a Cop" Event on July 16th, 2019

The Foundation received a Target Public Safety grant for the purchase of Target gift cards for Annapolis Police officers to take middle school children on a back to school shopping spree.  APD officers were paired with a child for a one-on-one shopping experience at the Towne Centre Target store where they picked out school supplies and uniforms.
This charitable project is one of several community outreach programs by the Annapolis Police Department that fosters building trust between the police and the community. The Annapolis Police Department's Community Outreach program already performs over 800 events annually in the community, many focused on children's programs.

Thanks to Target Corporation and Target Annapolis Towne Center for sponsoring this awesome event!

The Annapolis Police Foundation invited dog owners and their dogs as well as the dog-loving general public to participate in its Canine Cruise on Thursday, June 13th for a relaxing cruise aboard the Harbor Queen departing from Annapolis City Dock. Despite a brief weather delay, we set sail and enjoyed a great time together on the water.
Sgt. Tucker from APD and his K9 partner "Peko" and other members of the Annapolis Police Department and board members of the Annapolis Police Foundation were all on hand for the fun.

Thanks to these great local business for sponsoring this event!
